The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region stated that the process of accepting students in the universities and institutes of the region for the academic year (2020-2021) reached 87%.

It is worthwhile to mention that universities and institutes have received 47,176 students, or 87%, noting that the number of vacant seats is 8,119 and that they will be distributed among the 7,118 students who have not been accepted, thus raising the acceptance rate after submitting objections to 100%.
